In a surprising partnership that challenges traditional expectations, the game developer has announced an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Revealed

According to the formal announcement, "An unusual confrontation leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where whispers of banned practices and monstrous metamorphoses reverberate through the darkness." The storyline features a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a secret sect.

The adventure focuses on "bizarre trials and a terrifying enemy" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Changes

The preview highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser ends with a dramatic scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Extra Content

Players who finish the mission will obtain an exclusive katana in addition to several objects concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

• Mikasa outfit for Naoe
• Unique implements

Third Free Story Update

This patch also introduces the game's newest complimentary story content, titled "A Puzzlement."
